When the Supercar is… fake!

06 Jan 2016

Supercars are a status symbol which is universally recognized and appreciated, but a fake Supercar is a trick that could work as well…. in some places and for a little while.

Picture this: the club is crowded and customers a little drunk. A brand new Lamborghini Reventon enters the scene and drives towards the VIP area under the eyes of dozens of people waiting in a log queue to finally get inside the club. Who would ever check whether the vehicle is authentic or not? Who would ever realise that the details are not exactly perfect, that the balance is a little higher than it should be, that it is made of fiberglass and the Lamborghini Reventon is practically non-existent? Is it really so unrealistic to think that the person who drives that fake vehicle will be even offered many advantages and a special treatment?

The same questions have probably been thought about by the managers of a mechanic in Tempatitlán, Mexico. There you can order both the car body and its inside pieces which are identical to those of extreme rare and luxurious cars for a 50-100 thousand dollar price.

The customer has then to arrange everything on its own for the assembly work on the structure he prefers and with the engine he prefers.

The legality of this process is still ambiguous but it has anyway given the Mexican place a great popularity among those who would like to drive a Supercar but can only afford a fake one.
