One-hundred-thousandth Maserati

28 Dec 2016

Maserati’s assembly lines are extremely productive. In fact it has just been produced the one-hundred-thousandth Maserati within the Brugliasco factory where both Ghibli and Quattroporte are made. Even though Ghibli is in fact the most sold Maserati ever (almost 70.000 models were sold), the privilege of being Maserati number 100.000 goes to Quattroporte Model Year 2017, white and with a 350 horsepower.

Just a little time ago we talked about how proud McLaren was while presenting its ten-thousandth car which was exclusively reserved to the firm museum. Maserati is now showing the whole world that its tradition is much longer than the British firm’s. As a matter of fact, Costruttore Auto Maserati was founded in 1914, more than a century ago. A part from this glorious past, having an FCA group as support allows Maserati to use the advanced factories in Grugliasco and Mirafiori besides, of course, the historical ones in Modena, which is why the production can be so massive.

Compared to their British colleagues, Maserati’s technicians will just take a quick picture of the car and then send it straight away to the Chinese market. Chinese customers are in fact a key point in Maserati’s marketing strategy, as this article published by “Il Giornale” claims.

Alfredo Altavilla, the FCA member in charge of the European and Middle East areas, has underlined that this version of Quattroporte is the most sold ever around the world and he has thanked all the technicians and the staff in general.
